About

Jim Keltner's incredible career has seen him provide the rhythmic heartbeat for rock royalty, including solo projects for John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, as well as classic recordings with Steely Dan and the Traveling Wilburys. His signature loose, deeply expressive drumming style revolutionized the role of the studio musician. Though his work kept him primarily in major coastal studios, Tulsa music historians and local players proudly celebrate him as a native son whose foundational groove fundamentally shaped the sound of global rock music.
